Our claymation workshops offer a unique blend of creative expression and education, perfect for keeping your children engaged during the school holidays. These workshops will introduce participants to the world of claymation in an environment of learning and fun. Participants will experience the journey from an idea to a fully realised claymation film in our 1 or 2 day workshops. Our presenters teach the entire process, starting with the development of an entertaining narrative, through to storyboarding and building their own characters that will be featured in their films. They will then bring their characters and backgrounds to life by taking hundreds of pictures. The hands-on experience continues in post production; where participants add titles, credits, music, and sound effects to their movies.
Our workshops emphasise both creative expression and collaboration. Participants will work together to bring their stories to life in communicating ideas and sharing important roles to ensure everyone gets a fair go. Digi Ed workshops are run using industry standard stop motion technology, providing students not only with creative freedom but also a taste of what it's like to work with professional equipment. This fusion of technology and teamwork prepares them for future endeavors in any field.
The highlight for many parents and participants is the end-of-day showcase. At the conclusion of the workshop, the claymation films are displayed, giving caregivers the opportunity to watch their child's film, created from scratch. All claymation films made in a Digi Ed workshop can be viewed and downloaded at home to be treasured forever.
